More of the Homecoming.

Our Elder Grondel has arrived safely home. We had a great day picking him up from the Airport and getting him settled in. We are so happy that he has returned from his mission. I can tell that he was a great missionary, by the way he acts. I appreciate all those sweet Minnesota Saints that cared for him. We love you and can't wait to meet you.

Well, I thought that it might be time to move this blog forward a little bit. Not to much has changed but enough to make things interesting around here. Since our Trip to Indiana was the last post. I will take it from there.

Blayne our 2nd son has entered into the Mission Field and has been serving in Minnesota for 13 months. He is loving it so much.

We also have a new Grandson Ryan Matthew Troxell jr. and now in April he will be welcoming a new baby brother to his family. We are so excited about that. I get the greatest opportunity to have Kims boys close by me as well. I love having each one of these little boys. In April I will have a basketball team.

I got a new calling in October of last year and it keeps me on my toes. I love working with the Primary of the East Stake. I have learned so much about myself and have gotten to know such wonderful people that I would have never gotten to know on my own.

I love my job. Some days it can be more stress than I can handle but when all is said and done each one of the children I get to love and care for in my home make a great mark in my heart. They teach me so much. I really believe that a child will lead me back to my Father in Heaven.

In January on 2009 we were able to trade in our mini van for a cute little Honda CR-V. I love driving it. It is different to not be driving a mini van but it is all good.

In April on this year Dave and I will have been Married for 30 years. I am thankful the good Husband that I have. He puts up with way more than anyone should ever have to. He is a great Father to our Children and He is a great Grandpa. I hope that we can have another 30 years together on this earth. I am so happy to know that we can share eternity together. Looking forward to that. I hope that this gets us caught up so that when I go to the blog I don't feel guilty for not updating it. I don't think that to many people look at this but if you do thanks for caring about us and we love you for that.

Indiana Trip

We went to Indiana to see the sights and to visit members and non-members who touched Travis' life during his mission. It was so great to stay with the Waltons and the Shroyers. I feel like I met my best friends. We were able to visit with the Roberts family and take a piece of their sweet family with me. We were also able to Meet Deborah in Muncie, Bob and Joyce Cunningham we had a lovely dinner with them, also visited with Bro and Sis Brackett. Dave and Travis went to a Colts game and had a great time together. We went to a transfer meeting and meet many Elders that serve there. We also had the great opportunity to visit with President and Sister Cory. What a wonderful Mission President he is. To know that he knew Travis personally was a great comfort to me. We also went to the speed way and that was so incredible. It is so big, and to see the old cars were awesome to me.

We also took a day and want to Navuoo and Carthage Jail. That was so awesome. The spirit was so strong and warm while there. I didn't want to leave the area at all. We were able to attend the Temple there. We had a wonderful week, in fact I wish that it would have been longer so that we could spend more time with the people that took great care of Travis. Not only have you touched Travis' (Elder Grondel) life you have touched our life forever.

My idea of a fun Halloween

As you will see by the video above we had a great morning with our Halloween party. We made spiders out of cookies, we made cupcakes and licked our fingers a lot. We played some old fashion Halloween games. We danced and wrapped each other as mummies. We were so tired by the time the pizza came, we were ready for our naps. I sure do Love my kids and I sure hope that they know that.

Just wanted to Thank you all that came to listen to Travis speak on Sunday. It was a great talk and I can see such great growth in him. I appreciate all of your support throughout the past 2 years. Its takes more than 2 parents to raise a child and I am so happy that I have such a great support group while we raise our Children. Thanks again.

Love ya all
